Aftercare

What you do after you get your tattoo is just as important as the tattooing process itself. These are some general guidelines to help you heal your artwork and keep it looking beautiful.

What to expect

-swelling and tenderness for about 2 days

-peeling and itchiness for about 2 weeks

Instructions

-Wash your hands first, then use your fingertips and unscented antibacterial soap

to gently wash your tattoo. Wash away any oozy plasma leakage.

-Let air dry, then apply a thin layer of unscented water based lotion.

(aveeno, lubriderm, madrabbit repair)

-Repeat 3-4 times per day for the first week.

-Do this at least 2 times a day for the second week.

Tips

-Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least 1.5 weeks.

-Do NOT touch your tattoo with dirty hands.

-Do NOT pick or scratch your tattoo.

-Do NOT use peroxide, alcohol, neosporin, or any antibiotic ointment

on your tattoo. Water based lotion only!

-Do NOT submerge your tattoo in water until it has finished peeling.

No swimming, hot tubs or baths. Showering/washing is fine!

-Avoid pet dander and mud/dirt.
